Ready, Set, Ranger!

Do you have a highly active lifestyle and want a furry friend to join you? If so, meet Ranger: a Mahogany Belgian Malinois puppy that’s looking to find his forever home. Ranger is a high-energy and medium-drive dog, yet a total sweetheart. He loves to play but is handler-oriented and would be suited for a novice or intermediate sport dog lover. Ranger’s adoption fee is $600 and includes a veterinarian visit, deworming, age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and microchip lifetime registration.

A Snuggle Bear!

Black cats often have a hard time getting adopted from shelters, but our Phoebo isn’t just any black cat- he is the sweetest, most cuddly kitten ever. Sweetie pie Phoebo is always ready to curl up and take a nap with you. Not only is he affectionate, but he is very vocal and loves playing with string toys. Phoebo’s adoption Fee is $125 and includes a veterinarian visit, deworming, age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and microchip lifetime registration.

SECOND CHANCES

This is Truffle’s transformation. This precious boy was found in a cardboard box, abandoned, sick, malnourished and alone. When we first got him, he would just sit on his bed staring into space like a statue, sometimes barking at nothing. After many vet visits we learnt that he was hearing impaired and that he was born with a liver disorder that would require lifelong medications in order to digest his food along with surgery. With a lot of TLC, Truffle was soon healthy and thriving.

He has brought so much joy to my family. He gallops around like a prancing pony when he’s excited, he loves walks, car rides, snuggling and eating doggy ice cream. I am so thankful to Wonder Paws Rescue for bringing Truffle into our family’s life. None of this would be possible without them. It is truly mind blowing how quickly Mr. Truffle changed from a shivering and scared little thing, to the lively, brave, and affectionate dog he is now.

Please consider fostering. There are so many dogs in South Florida with similar heartbreaking stories. I found my best friend because of Wonder Paws, and you can as well!

WELLNESS VIBES
This October is National Pet Wellness Month, and there is no better way to celebrate than by making sure your pet’s health and well-being is looked after. All a pet parent wants is for their furry friends to be happy and healthy. By following these tips and tricks, it’s so easy!
●      Double-check the ingredients in your pet’s food. By ensuring your pet is receiving adequate nutrition, you can help prevent many diseases and help keep your pet fit.
●      Exercise is key. Not only is getting out and going on a walk good for you, but it’s good for your pet. Perhaps not if you have a cat, but your beloved pup will appreciate the exercise.
●      Grooming is essential. Brush your pet’s fur and teeth, care for their nails and clean their ears. Whether you are the one doing this or the groomers, maintaining the physical health of your pet is crucial.
●      Spend quality time with your pets. Happiness is a key component of your pet’s overall wellness. Don’t discount the effect a bit of quality time, cuddles and love can have on your furry friend.
By following these simple tips, you can help keep your pets happy, healthy and fit all year round. Happy National Pet Wellness Month!
